When the baby was a week old, they came to circumcise him, and they were going to name him Zechariah, after his father.

(SEE 17:11)

On the eighth day, the child shall be circumcised.

But Jesus answered him, "Let it be so for now. For in this way we shall do all that God requires." So John agreed.

But when the right time finally came, God sent his own Son. He came as the son of a human mother and lived under the Jewish Law,

to redeem those who were under the Law, so that we might become God's children.

He was humble and walked the path of obedience all the way to death--- his death on the cross.

You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.

She will have a son, and you will name him Jesus---because he will save his people from their sins."

But he had no sexual relations with her before she gave birth to her son. And Joseph named him Jesus.
