Isaac sowed crops in that land, and that year he harvested a hundred times as much as he had sown, because the LORD blessed him.

Because he had many herds of sheep and cattle and many servants, the Philistines were jealous of him.

During the seven years of plenty the land produced abundant crops,

There was so much grain that Joseph stopped measuring it---it was like the sand of the sea.

But thieves and godless people live in peace, though their only god is their own strength.

because I was jealous of the proud when I saw that things go well for the wicked.

That is what the wicked are like. They have plenty and are always getting more.

She would never acknowledge that I am the one who gave her the grain, the wine, the olive oil, and all the silver and gold that she used in the worship of Baal.

so that you may become the children of your Father in heaven. For he makes his sun to shine on bad and good people alike, and gives rain to those who do good and to those who do evil.

But he has always given evidence of his existence by the good things he does: he gives you rain from heaven and crops at the right times; he gives you food and fills your hearts with happiness."
