Follow the practices and the laws that I give you; you will save your life by doing so. I am the LORD."

And the LORD said, "Obey the commands I give and do not follow the practices of the people who lived in the land before you, and do not make yourselves unclean by doing any of these things. I am the LORD your God."

Then Moses said to the people, "Obey all the laws that I am teaching you, and you will live and occupy the land which the LORD, the God of your ancestors, is giving you.

Do not add anything to what I command you, and do not take anything away. Obey the commands of the LORD your God that I have given you.

Obey all his laws that I have given you today, and all will go well with you and your descendants. You will continue to live in the land that the LORD your God is giving you to be yours forever."

"Do everything that I have commanded you; do not add anything to it or take anything from it.

He gave them the lands of other peoples and let them take over their fields,

so that his people would obey his laws and keep all his commands. Praise the LORD!

The seeds that fell in good soil stand for those who hear the message and retain it in a good and obedient heart, and they persist until they bear fruit.

But Jesus answered, "Rather, how happy are those who hear the word of God and obey it!"

"If you love me, you will obey my commandments.

"Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. My Father will love those who love me; I too will love them and reveal myself to them."

Jesus answered him, "Those who love me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and my Father and I will come to them and live with them.

And you are my friends if you do what I command you.

Any Israelites or any foreigners living in the community who offer a burnt offering or any other sacrifice

If any Israelites or any foreigners living in the community eat meat with blood still in it, the LORD will turn against them and no longer consider them his people.
