I will cut off your supply of food and let you starve. You will feel the pains of hunger like sharp arrows sent to destroy you.

"Mortal man," he said, "if a country sins and is unfaithful to me, I will reach out and destroy its supply of food. I will send a famine and kill people and animals alike.

I will cut off your food supply, so that ten women will need only one oven to bake all the bread they have. They will ration it out, and when you have eaten it all, you will still be hungry.

The LORD sent famine to their country and took away all their food.
