"And your people say that what I do isn't right! No, it's their way that isn't right.

"But you say, 'What the Lord does isn't right.' Listen to me, you Israelites. Do you think my way of doing things isn't right? It is your way that isn't right.

And you Israelites say, 'What the Lord does isn't right.' You think my way isn't right, do you? It is your way that isn't right.

Some people ruin themselves by their own stupid actions and then blame the LORD.

"Now I, the Sovereign LORD, am telling you Israelites that I will judge each of you by what you have done. Turn away from all the evil you are doing, and don't let your sin destroy you.

and that his love is constant. You yourself, O Lord, reward everyone according to their deeds.

God is going to judge everything we do, whether good or bad, even things done in secret.

For the Son of Man is about to come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will reward each one according to his deeds.

and come out of their graves: those who have done good will rise and live, and those who have done evil will rise and be condemned.

For all of us must appear before Christ, to be judged by him. We will each receive what we deserve, according to everything we have done, good or bad, in our bodily life.

And I saw the dead, great and small alike, standing before the throne. Books were opened, and then another book was opened, the book of the living. The dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.

Then death and the world of the dead were thrown into the lake of fire. (This lake of fire is the second death.)

"Listen!" says Jesus. "I am coming soon! I will bring my rewards with me, to give to each one according to what he has done.
