I will make southern Egypt desolate and set fire to the city of Zoan in the north. I will punish the capital city of Thebes.

And so I, the Sovereign LORD, am telling you that I am your enemy. I will pass judgment on you where all the nations can see it.

"When I am angry and furious with you and punish you, all the nations around you will be terrified. They will look at you with disgust and make fun of you.

I will punish Moab, and they will know that I am the LORD."

The LORD has revealed himself by his righteous judgments, and the wicked are trapped by their own deeds.

to defeat the nations and to punish the peoples;

But you have a hard and stubborn heart, and so you are making your own punishment even greater on the Day when God's anger and righteous judgments will be revealed.
