God created the heavens and stretched them out; he fashioned the earth and all that lives there; he gave life and breath to all its people. And now the LORD God says to his servant,

The LORD created the heavens--- he is the one who is God! He formed and made the earth--- he made it firm and lasting. He did not make it a desolate waste, but a place for people to live. It is he who says, "I am the LORD, and there is no other god.

In six days I, the LORD, made the earth, the sky, the seas, and everything in them, but on the seventh day I rested. That is why I, the LORD, blessed the Sabbath and made it holy.

long ago you created the earth, and with your own hands you made the heavens.

He also said, "You, Lord, in the beginning created the earth, and with your own hands you made the heavens.

You will fold them up like a coat, and they will be changed like clothes. But you are always the same, and your life never ends."

Can anyone measure the ocean by handfuls or measure the sky with his hands? Can anyone hold the soil of the earth in a cup or weigh the mountains and hills on scales?

It was made by the one who sits on his throne above the earth and beyond the sky; the people below look as tiny as ants. He stretched out the sky like a curtain, like a tent in which to live.

Can you help God stretch out the sky and make it as hard as polished metal?

Look up at the sky! Who created the stars you see? The one who leads them out like an army, he knows how many there are and calls each one by name! His power is so great--- not one of them is ever missing!

Your word, O LORD, will last forever; it is eternal in heaven.

All things remain to this day because of your command, because they are all your servants.

He has decided the number of the stars and calls each one by name.

Let them all praise the name of the LORD! He commanded, and they were created;

Praise the LORD from the earth, sea monsters and all ocean depths;
