I told you to let my son go, so that he might worship me, but you refused. Now I am going to kill your first-born son.' "

If you refuse, I will punish your country by covering it with frogs.

If you keep on refusing, then I will bring locusts into your country tomorrow.

The LORD said, "If you will not obey my commands, you will be punished.

I will punish you. I will bring disaster on you---incurable diseases and fevers that will make you blind and cause your life to waste away. You will plant your crops, but it will do you no good, because your enemies will conquer you and eat what you have grown.

God is a righteous judge and always condemns the wicked.

If they do not change their ways, God will sharpen his sword. He bends his bow and makes it ready;

God will surely break the heads of his enemies, of those who persist in their sinful ways.

But if you defy me, you are doomed to die. I, the LORD, have spoken."

Other people are selfish and reject what is right, in order to follow what is wrong; on them God will pour out his anger and fury.

I have given her time to repent of her sins, but she does not want to turn from her immorality.

And so I will throw her on a bed where she and those who committed adultery with her will suffer terribly. I will do this now unless they repent of the wicked things they did with her.

They were burned by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God, who has authority over these plagues. But they would not turn from their sins and praise his greatness.
