He answered, "Please ask King Solomon---I know he won't refuse you---to let me have Abishag, the young woman from Shunem, as my wife."

When the officer heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to ask him to come and heal his servant.

They came to Jesus and begged him earnestly, "This man really deserves your help.

Jesus, then, is the High Priest that meets our needs. He is holy; he has no fault or sin in him; he has been set apart from sinners and raised above the heavens.

I am writing this to you, my children, so that you will not sin; but if anyone does sin, we have someone who pleads with the Father on our behalf---Jesus Christ, the righteous one.

And Christ himself is the means by which our sins are forgiven, and not our sins only, but also the sins of everyone.
