I keep your law in my heart, so that I will not sin against you.

Truth, wisdom, learning, and good sense---these are worth paying for, but too valuable for you to sell.

"Don't forget what I am about to tell you! The Son of Man is going to be handed over to the power of human beings."

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, then you will ask for anything you wish, and you shall have it.

Christ's message in all its richness must live in your hearts. Teach and instruct one another with all wisdom. Sing psalms, hymns, and sacred songs; sing to God with thanksgiving in your hearts.

That is why we must hold on all the more firmly to the truths we have heard, so that we will not be carried away.

For we are all partners with Christ if we hold firmly to the end the confidence we had at the beginning.

because the truth remains in us and will be with us forever.

I was so happy when some Christians arrived and told me how faithful you are to the truth---just as you always live in the truth.

Remember, then, what you were taught and what you heard; obey it and turn from your sins. If you do not wake up, I will come upon you like a thief, and you will not even know the time when I will come.

I am coming soon. Keep safe what you have, so that no one will rob you of your victory prize.

My dear friends, this command I am writing you is not new; it is the old command, the one you have had from the very beginne add self-control; to your selfage you have already heard.

They wrote what we have been told by those who saw these things from the beginning and who proclaimed the message.

"Who are you?" they asked him. Jesus answered, "What I have told you from the very beginning.

You Philippians know very well that when I left Macedonia in the early days of preaching the Good News, you were the only church to help me; you were the only ones who shared my profits and losses.

And so I ask you, dear Lady: let us all love one another. This is no new command I am writing you; it is the command which we have had from the beginning.

This love I speak of means that we must live in obedience to God's commands. The command, as you have all heard from the beginning, is that you must all live in love.

What we have seen and heard we announce to you also, so that you will join with us in the fellowship that we have with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.

But if we live in the light---just as he is in the light---then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from every sin.

We are sure that we live in union with God and that he lives in union with us, because he has given us his Spirit.

And we ourselves know and believe the love which God has for us. God is love, and those who live in love live in union with God and God lives in union with them.

Jesus answered him, "Those who love me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and my Father and I will come to them and live with them.

I love you just as the Father loves me; remain in my love.

If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love.

I pray that they may all be one. Father! May they be in us, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they be one, so that the world will believe that you sent me.

I in them and you in me, so that they may be completely one, in order that the world may know that you sent me and that you love them as you love me.
