"You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread (you shall eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month of Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt; none shall appear before Me empty);

"But the firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb. And if you will not redeem [him,] then you shall break his neck. All the firstborn of your sons you shall redeem. And none shall appear before Me empty-handed.

"Three times a year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God in the place which He chooses: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Tabernacles; and they shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed.

'and he shall bring his trespass offering to the LORD for his sin which he has committed, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats as a sin offering. So the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin.

"If a person commits a trespass, and sins unintentionally in regard to the holy things of the LORD, then he shall bring to the LORD as his trespass offering a ram without blemish from the flocks, with your valuation in shekels of silver according to the shekel of the sanctuary, as a trespass offering.

" If a person sins, and commits any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD, though he does not know [it,] yet he is guilty and shall bear his iniquity.

"It is a trespass offering; he has certainly trespassed against the LORD."

"And he shall bring his trespass offering to the LORD, a ram without blemish from the flock, with your valuation, as a trespass offering, to the priest.

'Likewise this [is] the law of the trespass offering (it [is] most holy):

'And he shall offer from it all its fat. The fat tail and the fat that covers the entrails,

'and the priest shall burn them on the altar [as] an offering made by fire to the LORD. It [is] a trespass offering.

'The trespass offering [is] like the sin offering; [there is] one law for them both: the priest who makes atonement with it shall have [it.]

"And watch: if it goes up the road to its own territory, to Beth Shemesh, [then] He has done us this great evil. But if not, then we shall know that [it is] not His hand [that] struck us -- it happened to us by chance."

And when the men of Ashdod saw how [it was,] they said, "The ark of the God of Israel must not remain with us, for His hand is harsh toward us and Dagon our god."

So it was, after they had carried it away, that the hand of the LORD was against the city with a very great destruction; and He struck the men of the city, both small and great, and tumors broke out on them.

So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, "Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go back to its own place, so that it does not kill us and our people." For there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there.

I will say to God, 'Do not condemn me; Show me why You contend with me.

" For has [anyone] said to God, 'I have borne [chastening;] I will offend no more;

Teach me [what] I do not see; If I have done iniquity, I will do no more'?
