Let the righteous strike me; [It shall be] a kindness. And let him rebuke me; [It shall be] as excellent oil; Let my head not refuse it. For still my prayer [is] against the deeds of the wicked.

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonished for a time, and his thoughts troubled him. [So] the king spoke, and said, "Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its interpretation trouble you." Belteshazzar answered and said, "My lord, [may] the dream concern those who hate you, and its interpretation concern your enemies!

[You who are] named the house of Jacob: "Is the Spirit of the LORD restricted? [Are] these His doings? Do not My words do good To him who walks uprightly?

"may the LORD do so and much more to Jonathan. But if it pleases my father [to do] you evil, then I will report it to you and send you away, that you may go in safety. And the LORD be with you as He has been with my father.

Where you die, I will die, And there will I be buried. The LORD do so to me, and more also, If [anything but] death parts you and me."

And when all the people came to persuade David to eat food while it was still day, David took an oath, saying, "God do so to me, and more also, if I taste bread or anything else till the sun goes down!"

"And say to Amasa, '[Are] you not my bone and my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if you are not commander of the army before me continually in place of Joab.' "

So the king said to him, "How many times shall I make you swear that you tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?"

But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, "I put You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!"
