"Now Boaz, whose young women you were with, [is he] not our relative? In fact, he is winnowing barley tonight at the threshing floor.

"Now it is true that I [am] a close relative; however, there is a relative closer than I.

"then you say in your heart, 'My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.'

"And you shall remember the LORD your God, for [it is] He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as [it is] this day.

Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East.

If I have rejoiced because my wealth [was] great, And because my hand had gained much;

After him, Ibzan of Bethlehem judged Israel.

Then Ibzan died and was buried at Bethlehem.

Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab, Boaz begot Obed by Ruth, Obed begot Jesse,

[the son] of Jesse, [the son] of Obed, [the son] of Boaz, [the son] of Salmon, [the son] of Nahshon,
