Then the whole congregation sent [word] to the children of Benjamin who [were] at the rock of Rimmon, and announced peace to them.

He will not always strive [with us,] Nor will He keep [His anger] forever.

He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities.

Unless the LORD of hosts Had left to us a very small remnant, We would have become like Sodom, We would have been made like Gomorrah.

O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, Do it for Your name's sake; For our backslidings are many, We have sinned against You.

Though He causes grief, Yet He will show compassion According to the multitude of His mercies.

O LORD, I have heard your speech [and] was afraid; O LORD, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make [it] known; In wrath remember mercy.
