So Delilah said to Samson, "Please tell me where your great strength [lies,] and with what you may be bound to afflict you."

Delilah said to Samson, "Until now you have mocked me and told me lies. Tell me what you may be bound with." And he said to her, "If you weave the seven locks of my head into the web of the loom" --

And it came to pass, when she pestered him daily with her words and pressed him, [so] that his soul was vexed to death,

So when the woman saw that the tree [was] good for food, that it [was] pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make [one] wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!"

With her enticing speech she caused him to yield, With her flattering lips she seduced him.

"I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs.

"And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, 'Though I do not fear God nor regard man,

'yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.' "

To deliver you from the immoral woman, From the seductress [who] flatters with her words,

Who forsakes the companion of her youth, And forgets the covenant of her God.
