For he sees wise men die; Likewise the fool and the senseless person perish, And leave their wealth to others.

A senseless man does not know, Nor does a fool understand this.

Understand, you senseless among the people; And [you] fools, when will you be wise?

"For My people [are] foolish, They have not known Me. They [are] silly children, And they have no understanding. They [are] wise to do evil, But to do good they have no knowledge."

Therefore I said, "Surely these [are] poor. They are foolish; For they do not know the way of the LORD, The judgment of their God.

But they are altogether dull-hearted and foolish; A wooden idol [is] a worthless doctrine.

For the shepherds have become dull-hearted, And have not sought the LORD; Therefore they shall not prosper, And all their flocks shall be scattered.

But You, O LORD, know me; You have seen me, And You have tested my heart toward You. Pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, And prepare them for the day of slaughter.

I will pour out My indignation on you; I will blow against you with the fire of My wrath, And deliver you into the hands of brutal men [who are] skillful to destroy.

But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves.

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage.

by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption [that is] in the world through lust.

The wicked is banished in his wickedness, But the righteous has a refuge in his death.

Then Jesus said to them again, "I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come."

For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
