and from the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with its common-land, Jahaz with its common-land,

Bezer in the wilderness on the plateau for the Reubenites, Ramoth in Gilead for the Gadites, and Golan in Bashan for the Manassites.

And on the other side of the Jordan, across from Jericho, on the east side of the Jordan, [they were given] from the tribe of Reuben: Bezer in the wilderness with its common-lands, Jahzah with its common-lands,

and from the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with its common-land (a city of refuge for the slayer), Mahanaim with its common-land,

And the king of Israel said to his servants, "Do you know that Ramoth in Gilead [is] ours, but we hesitate to take it out of the hand of the king of Syria?"

So he said to Jehoshaphat, "Will you go with me to fight at Ramoth Gilead?" Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, "I [am] as you [are,] my people as your people, my horses as your horses."

Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said to them, "Shall I go against Ramoth Gilead to fight, or shall I refrain?" So they said, "Go up, for the Lord will deliver [it] into the hand of the king."

And from the tribe of Gad: Ramoth in Gilead with its common-lands, Mahanaim with its common-lands,

Also to the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, from the [other] half-tribe of Manasseh, [they gave] Golan in Bashan with its common-land (a city of refuge for the slayer), and Be Eshterah with its common-land: two cities;
