So it was, when all the kings of the Amorites who [were] on the west side of the Jordan, and all the kings of the Canaanites who [were] by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of the Jordan from before the children of Israel until we had crossed over, that their heart melted; and there was no spirit in them any longer because of the children of Israel.

And the men of Ai struck down about thirty-six men, for they chased them [from] before the gate as far as Shebarim, and struck them down on the descent; therefore the hearts of the people melted and became like water.

"Nevertheless my brethren who went up with me made the heart of the people melt, but I wholly followed the LORD my God.

'Where can we go up? Our brethren have discouraged our hearts, saying, "The people [are] greater and taller than we; the cities [are] great and fortified up to heaven; moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakim there." '

"The officers shall speak further to the people, and say, 'What man [is there who is] fearful and fainthearted? Let him go and return to his house, lest the heart of his brethren faint like his heart.'

Therefore all hands will be limp, Every man's heart will melt,

She is empty, desolate, and waste! The heart melts, and the knees shake; Much pain [is] in every side, And all their faces are drained of color.

and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!

"Therefore know this day, and consider [it] in your heart, that the LORD Himself [is] God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; [there is] no other.

"that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD [is] God; [there is] no other.

That they may know that You, whose name alone [is] the LORD, [Are] the Most High over all the earth.

So the nations shall fear the name of the LORD, And all the kings of the earth Your glory.

O LORD, my strength and my fortress, My refuge in the day of affliction, The Gentiles shall come to You From the ends of the earth and say, "Surely our fathers have inherited lies, Worthlessness and unprofitable [things."]

" Therefore behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know My hand and My might; And they shall know that My name [is] the LORD.

And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever: For His dominion [is] an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom [is] from generation to generation.

All the inhabitants of the earth [are] reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven And [among] the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand Or say to Him, "What have You done?"

Then King Darius wrote: To all peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you.

He delivers and rescues, And He works signs and wonders In heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

"Thus says the LORD of hosts: 'Peoples shall yet come, Inhabitants of many cities;

Yes, many peoples and strong nations Shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, And to pray before the LORD.'
