So Solomon's builders, Hiram's builders, and the Gebalites quarried [them;] and they prepared timber and stones to build the temple.

Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;

Elders of Gebal and its wise men Were in you to caulk your seams; All the ships of the sea And their oarsmen were in you To market your merchandise.

'Turn and take your journey, and go to the mountains of the Amorites, to all the neighboring [places] in the plain, in the mountains and in the lowland, in the South and on the seacoast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the River Euphrates.

'I pray, let me cross over and see the good land beyond the Jordan, those pleasant mountains, and Lebanon.'

'from Mount Hor you shall mark out [your border] to the entrance of Hamath; then the direction of the border shall be toward Zedad;

[Is] not Calno like Carchemish? [Is] not Hamath like Arpad? [Is] not Samaria like Damascus?

Go over to Calneh and see; And from there go to Hamath the great; Then go down to Gath of the Philistines. [Are you] better than these kingdoms? Or is their territory greater than your territory?
