" And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.

"You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

" Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

"You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

" Also it shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this law in a book, from [the one] before the priests, the Levites.

"And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the LORD his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes,

"But the word [is] very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.

"when all Israel comes to appear before the LORD your God in the place which He chooses, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing.

The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, And his tongue talks of justice.

The law of his God [is] in his heart; None of his steps shall slide.

I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth From the great assembly.

So shall I have an answer for him who reproaches me, For I trust in Your word.

And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, For I have hoped in Your ordinances.

"As for Me," says the LORD, "this [is] My covenant with them: My Spirit who [is] upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants' descendants," says the LORD, "from this time and forevermore."

"A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

But his delight [is] in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.

He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.

Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You!

I will meditate on Your precepts, And contemplate Your ways.

Oh, how I love Your law! It [is] my meditation all the day.

I have more understanding than all my teachers, For Your testimonies [are] my meditation.

My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you,

Yes, if you cry out for discernment, [And] lift up your voice for understanding,

Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, And find the knowledge of God.

My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands;

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.

Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

'Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever!

"Therefore you shall be careful to do as the LORD your God has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

"You shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live and [that it may be] well with you, and [that] you may prolong [your] days in the land which you shall possess.

"Now this [is] the commandment, [and these are] the statutes and judgments which the LORD your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe [them] in the land which you are crossing over to possess,

"Therefore hear, O Israel, and be careful to observe [it,] that it may be well with you, and that you may multiply greatly as the LORD God of your fathers has promised you -- 'a land flowing with milk and honey.'

" Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

" Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:

"teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, [even] to the end of the age." Amen.

But He said, "More than that, blessed [are] those who hear the word of God and keep it!"

"If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

"He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

Blessed [are] those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

"Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
