"No man shall [be able to] stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, [so] I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.

"may the LORD do so and much more to Jonathan. But if it pleases my father [to do] you evil, then I will report it to you and send you away, that you may go in safety. And the LORD be with you as He has been with my father.

"As the LORD has been with my lord the king, even so may He be with Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord King David."

And David said to his son Solomon, "Be strong and of good courage, and do [it;] do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God -- my God -- [will be] with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble; May the name of the God of Jacob defend you;

May He grant you according to your heart's [desire,] And fulfill all your purpose.

Save, LORD! May the King answer us when we call.

Save now, I pray, O LORD; O LORD, I pray, send now prosperity.

Blessed [is] he who comes in the name of the LORD! We have blessed you from the house of the LORD.

Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: "Hosanna to the Son of David! 'Blessed [is] He who comes in the name of the LORD!' Hosanna in the highest!"

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks be made for all men,

for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
