Then Jesus answered and said, "O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me."

For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the LORD, and to do [it,] and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel.

Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I may teach others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things --

that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,

" Whom will he teach knowledge? And whom will he make to understand the message? Those [just] weaned from milk? Those [just] drawn from the breasts?

For precept [must be] upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little."

But the word of the LORD was to them, "Precept upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little," That they might go and fall backward, and be broken And snared and caught.

Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you [is] not tedious, but for you [it is] safe.

Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary [principles] of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

Now the advice of Ahithophel, which he gave in those days, [was] as if one had inquired at the oracle of God. So [was] all the advice of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.

"This is he who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the Angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and [with] our fathers, the one who received the living oracles to give to us,

Much in every way! Chiefly because to them were committed the oracles of God.

If anyone speaks, [let him speak] as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, [let him do it] as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

For everyone who partakes [only] of milk [is] unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.

"Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price.

And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual [people] but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.

for you are still carnal. For where [there are] envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like [mere] men?

as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
