Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you will hear His voice,

Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness,

Now these [are] the last words of David. [Thus] says David the son of Jesse; [Thus] says the man raised up on high, The anointed of the God of Jacob, And the sweet psalmist of Israel:

"The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, And His word [was] on my tongue.

He said to them, "How then does David in the Spirit call Him 'Lord,' saying:

"For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: 'The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool." '

"Now David himself said in the Book of Psalms: 'The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand,

"Men [and] brethren, let [me] speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

"he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.

So when they did not agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had said one word: "The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers,

Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you will hear His voice,

while it is said: "Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion."

For He [is] our God, And we [are] the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice:

And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which [is] the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.

"After that He gave [them] judges for about four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.
