to the beloved Apphia, Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house:

And Moses said to Aaron, "This is what the LORD spoke, saying: 'By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; And before all the people I must be glorified.' " So Aaron held his peace.

"And you shall attend to the duties of the sanctuary and the duties of the altar, that there [may] be no more wrath on the children of Israel.

"My sons, do not be negligent now, for the LORD has chosen you to stand before Him, to serve Him, and that you should minister to Him and burn incense."

"And they shall teach My people [the difference] between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

"In controversy they shall stand as judges, [and] judge it according to My judgments. They shall keep My laws and My statutes in all My appointed meetings, and they shall hallow My Sabbaths.

"Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.

I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and [before] Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate,

I charge [you] therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, [because] they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;

But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

"for he was numbered with us and obtained a part in this ministry."

So when they had appointed elders in every church, and prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed.

Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.

And He Himself gave some [to be] apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed.

Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.

Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
