"Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good.

"For before the Child shall know to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land that you dread will be forsaken by both her kings.

Seek good and not evil, That you may live; So the LORD God of hosts will be with you, As you have spoken.

Hate evil, love good; Establish justice in the gate. It may be that the LORD God of hosts Will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

You who hate good and love evil; Who strip the skin from My people, And the flesh from their bones;

"For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

and know [His] will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,

If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that [it is] good.

For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.

Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what [is] that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

[Let] love [be] without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.

Does not the ear test words And the mouth taste its food?

For the ear tests words As the palate tastes food.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what [is] that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.

Therefore [it is] no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.

Test all things; hold fast what is good.

For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need [someone] to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.

But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, [that is,] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

"I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars;

The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains;

"Did he not say to me, 'She [is] my sister'? And she, even she herself said, 'He [is] my brother.' In the integrity of my heart and innocence of my hands I have done this."

" Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD!

Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!"

"This [being] so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.

For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we conducted ourselves in the world in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you.

For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.

I speak not by commandment, but I am testing the sincerity of your love by the diligence of others.

but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head -- Christ --

that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

Grace [be] with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."

" But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

"Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!

Peter answered and said to Him, "Even if all are made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble."

Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed [are] pure, but [it is] evil for the man who eats with offense.

[It is] good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor [do anything] by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak.

Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.

Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never again eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.

Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God,

We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed.

And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased.

so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

who will also confirm you to the end, [that you may be] blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
