"You shall in any case return the pledge to him again when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his own garment and bless you; and it shall be righteousness to you before the LORD your God.

'You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, which if a man does, he shall live by them: I [am] the LORD.

Then Phinehas stood up and intervened, And the plague was stopped.

And that was accounted to him for righteousness To all generations forevermore.

Then I would not be ashamed, When I look into all Your commandments.

In the way of righteousness [is] life, And in [its] pathway [there is] no death.

"And I gave them My statutes and showed them My judgments, 'which, [if] a man does, he shall live by them.'

And He said to him, "You have answered rightly; do this and you will live."

But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"

For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.

For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, "The man who does those things shall live by them."

But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?' " (that is, to bring Christ down [from above)]

Yet the law is not of faith, but "the man who does them shall live by them."

For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one [point,] he is guilty of all.
