"Go up this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which [is] in the land of Moab, across from Jericho; view the land of Canaan, which I give to the children of Israel as a possession;

Now the LORD said to Moses: "Go up into this Mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel.

They moved from Almon Diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

and from Bamoth, [in] the valley that [is] in the country of Moab, to the top of Pisgah which looks down on the wasteland.

Then the LORD said to him, "This [is] the land of which I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, 'I will give it to your descendants.' I have caused you to see [it] with your eyes, but you shall not cross over there."

'Go up to the top of Pisgah, and lift your eyes toward the west, the north, the south, and the east; behold [it] with your eyes, for you shall not cross over this Jordan.

So Moses gave to the children of Gad, to the children of Reuben, and to half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land with its cities within the borders, the cities of the surrounding country.

And the children of Reuben built Heshbon and Elealeh and Kirjathaim,

And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead and took it, and dispossessed the Amorites who [were] in it.

In the visions of God He took me into the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain; on it toward the south [was] something like the structure of a city.

And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

Now when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his three hundred and eighteen trained [servants] who were born in his own house, and went in pursuit as far as Dan.

And the border of the children of Dan went beyond these, because the children of Dan went up to fight against Leshem and took it; and they struck it with the edge of the sword, took possession of it, and dwelt in it. They called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father.

And they called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born to Israel. However, the name of the city formerly [was] Laish.
