"Remember Lot's wife.

Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.

Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

"Command the children of Israel that they put out of the camp every leper, everyone who has a discharge, and whoever becomes defiled by a corpse.

And when the cloud departed from above the tabernacle, suddenly Miriam [became] leprous, as [white as] snow. Then Aaron turned toward Miriam, and there she was, a leper.

"Please do not let her be as one dead, whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb!"

Then the LORD said to Moses, "If her father had but spit in her face, would she not be shamed seven days? Let her be shut out of the camp seven days, and afterward she may be received [again."]

Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, "Why are we sitting here until we die?

And Azariah the chief priest and all the priests looked at him, and there, on his forehead, he [was] leprous; so they thrust him out of that place. Indeed he also hurried to get out, because the LORD had struck him.

King Uzziah was a leper until the day of his death. He dwelt in an isolated house, because he was a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD. Then Jotham his son [was] over the king's house, judging the people of the land.
