"Unless the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely now you would have sent me away empty-handed. God has seen my affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked [you] last night."

"And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be, when you go, that you shall not go empty-handed.

'For they [are] My servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold as slaves.

'And as for your male and female slaves whom you may have -- from the nations that are around you, from them you may buy male and female slaves.

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do [so.]

Do not say to your neighbor, "Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give [it,"] When [you have] it with you.

" Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness And his chambers by injustice, [Who] uses his neighbor's service without wages And gives him nothing for his work,

And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness Against sorcerers, Against adulterers, Against perjurers, Against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, And against those who turn away an alien -- Because they do not fear Me," Says the LORD of hosts.

Masters, give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.
