Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh -- who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands --

that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual [hosts] of wickedness in the heavenly [places.]

Have respect to the covenant; For the dark places of the earth are full of the haunts of cruelty.

The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined.

I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, And not forsake them.

For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.

Give glory to the LORD your God Before He causes darkness, And before your feet stumble On the dark mountains, And while you are looking for light, He turns it into the shadow of death [And] makes [it] dense darkness.

The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned."

To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace."

"Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,

'to open their eyes, [in order] to turn [them] from darkness to light, and [from] the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.'

because, although they knew God, they did not glorify [Him] as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed [us] into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.

But you [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.

"I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles,

To open blind eyes, To bring out prisoners from the prison, Those who sit in darkness from the prison house.

Indeed He says, 'It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob, And to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, That You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.' "

That You may say to the prisoners, 'Go forth,' To those who [are] in darkness, 'Show yourselves.' "They shall feed along the roads, And their pastures [shall be] on all desolate heights.

Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.

The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.

" The sun shall no longer be your light by day, Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; But the LORD will be to you an everlasting light, And your God your glory.

Your sun shall no longer go down, Nor shall your moon withdraw itself; For the LORD will be your everlasting light, And the days of your mourning shall be ended.

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."

"I have come [as] a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God -- and righteousness and sanctification and redemption --

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to [give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.

Therefore let us not sleep, as others [do,] but let us watch and be sober.

But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and [as] a helmet the hope of salvation.

He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now.

But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

O house of Jacob, come and let us walk In the light of the LORD.

"So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.

"While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light." These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

But you [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Beloved, I beg [you] as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
