"For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.

He said to them, "[All too] well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.

What then shall we say to these things? If God [is] for us, who [can be] against us?

"knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

[Is] the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law.

Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing.

You have become estranged from Christ, you who [attempt to] be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.

And if by grace, then [it is] no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if [it is] of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

Therefore, if perfection were through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need [was there] that another priest should rise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be called according to the order of Aaron?

Then I said, 'I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and in vain; Yet surely my just reward [is] with the LORD, And my work with my God.' "

" How can you say, 'We [are] wise, And the law of the LORD [is] with us'? Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood.

by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you -- unless you believed in vain.

And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching [is] empty and your faith [is] also empty.

And if Christ is not risen, your faith [is] futile; you are still in your sins!
