Greet the brethren who are in Laodicea, and Nymphas and the church that [is] in his house.

to the beloved Apphia, Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house:

Greet Amplias, my beloved in the Lord.

Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa, who have labored in the Lord. Greet the beloved Persis, who labored much in the Lord.

THE ELDER, To the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth:

For if the firstfruit [is] holy, the lump [is] also [holy;] and if the root [is] holy, so [are] the branches.

I urge you, brethren -- you know the household of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and [that] they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints --

Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.

These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from [among] men, [being] firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.

For it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem.

When Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews with one accord rose up against Paul and brought him to the judgment seat,
