But now no longer having a place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come to you,

whenever I journey to Spain, I shall come to you. For I hope to see you on my journey, and to be helped on my way there by you, if first I may enjoy your [company] for a while.

making request if, by some means, now at last I may find a way in the will of God to come to you.

that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

And when it was decided that we should sail to Italy, they delivered Paul and some other prisoners to [one] named Julius, a centurion of the Augustan Regiment.

But striking a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the prow stuck fast and remained immovable, but the stern was being broken up by the violence of the waves.

But the centurion, wanting to save Paul, kept them from [their] purpose, and commanded that those who could swim should jump [overboard] first and get to land,

And from there, when the brethren heard about us, they came to meet us as far as Appii Forum and Three Inns. When Paul saw them, he thanked God and took courage.

Now when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard; but Paul was permitted to dwell by himself with the soldier who guarded him.

Then Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who came to him,

preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him.

But I want you to know, brethren, that the things [which happened] to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel,

and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

but took leave of them, saying, "I must by all means keep this coming feast in Jerusalem; but I will return again to you, God willing." And he sailed from Ephesus.

But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord wills, and I will know, not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power.

Instead you [ought] to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that."

Like the cold of snow in time of harvest [Is] a faithful messenger to those who send him, For he refreshes the soul of his masters.

For they refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge such men.

Therefore we have been comforted in your comfort. And we rejoiced exceedingly more for the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all.

But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you always have good remembrance of us, greatly desiring to see us, as we also [to see] you --

For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord.

night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and perfect what is lacking in your faith?

The Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain;

For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.

Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in the Lord.
