I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that [there is] nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him [it is] unclean.

Eat whatever is sold in the meat market, asking no questions for conscience' sake;

for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision.

For every creature of God [is] good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving;

To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.

[concerned] only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation.

Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For [it is] good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.

Do you have faith? Have [it] to yourself before God. Happy [is] he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.

But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because [he does] not [eat] from faith; for whatever [is] not from faith is sin.

And God said, "See, I have given you every herb [that] yields seed which [is] on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.

"Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.

Better [is] a dinner of herbs where love is, Than a fatted calf with hatred.

"Please test your servants for ten days, and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink.

Thus the steward took away their portion of delicacies and the wine that they were to drink, and gave them vegetables.
