"You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after many to pervert [justice.]

'For whoever commits any of these abominations, the persons who commit [them] shall be cut off from among their people.

'Therefore you shall keep My ordinance, so that [you] do not commit [any] of these abominable customs which were committed before you, and that you do not defile yourselves by them: I [am] the LORD your God.' "

" When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations.

"or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.

"You shall be blameless before the LORD your God.

"The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil.

"I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.

"If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

"I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, "He catches the wise in their [own] craftiness";

whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?

And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among [them.] I will be their God, And they shall be My people."

who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,

in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,

This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind,

who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, [and] to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, [as] in your ignorance;

knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, [like] silver or gold, from your aimless conduct [received] by tradition from your fathers,

that he no longer should live the rest of [his] time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption [that is] in the world through lust.

For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning.

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you.

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

They are of the world. Therefore they speak [as] of the world, and the world hears them.

We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies [under the sway of] the wicked one.

So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to [fulfill its] lusts.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

"Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel?

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

Therefore, if anyone [is] in Christ, [he is] a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,

and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled

in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight --

and have put on the new [man] who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,

not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your reasonable service.

Oh, taste and see that the LORD [is] good; Blessed [is] the man [who] trusts in Him!

finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.

Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord [is.]

if indeed you have tasted that the Lord [is] gracious.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your reasonable service.

Therefore the law [is] holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.

For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin.

For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.

The law of the LORD [is] perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD [is] sure, making wise the simple;

The fear of the LORD [is] clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD [are] true [and] righteous altogether.

Moreover by them Your servant is warned, [And] in keeping them [there is] great reward.

And I will delight myself in Your commandments, Which I love.

My hands also I will lift up to Your commandments, Which I love, And I will meditate on Your statutes.

The law of Your mouth [is] better to me Than thousands of [coins of] gold and silver.

Oh, how I love Your law! It [is] my meditation all the day.

How sweet are Your words to my taste, [Sweeter] than honey to my mouth!

Therefore all [Your] precepts [concerning] all [things] I consider [to be] right; I hate every false way.

I long for Your salvation, O LORD, And Your law [is] my delight.

My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands;

Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart,

Happy [is] the man [who] finds wisdom, And the man [who] gains understanding;

She [is] more precious than rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.

Her ways [are] ways of pleasantness, And all her paths [are] peace.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

(for the fruit of the Spirit [is] in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),

Epaphras, who is [one] of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality;

All Scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
