Then everyone came whose heart was stirred, and everyone whose spirit was willing, [and] they brought the LORD's offering for the work of the tabernacle of meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments.

They came, both men and women, as many as had a willing heart, [and] brought earrings and nose rings, rings and necklaces, all jewelry of gold, that is, every man who [made] an offering of gold to the LORD.

The children of Israel brought a freewill offering to the LORD, all the men and women whose hearts were willing to bring [material] for all kinds of work which the LORD, by the hand of Moses, had commanded to be done.

"Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver:

"the gold for [things of] gold and the silver for [things of] silver, and for all kinds of work [to be done] by the hands of craftsmen. Who [then] is willing to consecrate himself this day to the LORD?"

Then the people rejoiced, for they had offered willingly, because with a loyal heart they had offered willingly to the LORD; and King David also rejoiced greatly.

"I know also, my God, that You test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these [things;] and now with joy I have seen Your people, who are present here to offer willingly to You.

But food does not commend us to God; for neither if we eat are we the better, nor if we do not eat are we the worse.

Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as [do] also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?

Who ever goes to war at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink of the milk of the flock?

For it is written in the law of Moses, "You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain." Is it oxen God is concerned about?

If we have sown spiritual things for you, [is it] a great thing if we reap your material things?

Do you not know that those who minister the holy things eat [of the things] of the temple, and those who serve at the altar partake of [the offerings of] the altar?

But I have used none of these things, nor have I written these things that it should be done so to me; for it [would be] better for me to die than that anyone should make my boasting void.

For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have been entrusted with a stewardship.

But without your consent I wanted to do nothing, that your good deed might not be by compulsion, as it were, but voluntary.

"You have neither part nor portion in this matter, for your heart is not right in the sight of God.

"Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.

And Joshua said, "Why have you troubled us? The LORD will trouble you this day." So all Israel stoned him with stones; and they burned them with fire after they had stoned them with stones.

Then they raised over him a great heap of stones, still there to this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of His anger. Therefore the name of that place has been called the Valley of Achor to this day.

They conceive trouble and bring forth futility; Their womb prepares deceit."

Behold, [the wicked] brings forth iniquity; Yes, he conceives trouble and brings forth falsehood.

No one calls for justice, Nor does [any] plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; They conceive evil and bring forth iniquity.

' Thus says the Lord GOD: "On that day it shall come to pass [that] thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan:

Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back [part] of the price of the land for yourself?

Also Moses said, "[This shall be seen] when the LORD gives you meat to eat in the evening, and in the morning bread to the full; for the LORD hears your complaints which you make against Him. And what [are] we? Your complaints [are] not against us but against the LORD."

"Therefore you and all your company [are] gathered together against the LORD. And what [is] Aaron that you complain against him?"

And the LORD said to Samuel, "Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.

Now he went in and stood before his master. Elisha said to him, "Where [did you go,] Gehazi?" And he said, "Your servant did not go anywhere."

"Therefore the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you and your descendants forever." And he went out from his presence leprous, [as white] as snow.

For [there is] not a word on my tongue, [But] behold, O LORD, You know it altogether.

"He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me."

Therefore he who rejects [this] does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit.
