But no one says, 'Where [is] God my Maker, Who gives songs in the night,

O My God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not hear; And in the night season, and am not silent.

The LORD will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song [shall be] with me -- A prayer to the God of my life.

I call to remembrance my song in the night; I meditate within my heart, And my spirit makes diligent search.

I remember Your name in the night, O LORD, And I keep Your law.

At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You, Because of Your righteous judgments.

You shall have a song As in the night [when] a holy festival is kept, And gladness of heart as when one goes with a flute, To come into the mountain of the LORD, To the Mighty One of Israel.

Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me."

In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; My hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing; My soul refused to be comforted.

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I [will be] with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.

Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me."

He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You [will."]

And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear,

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.

So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name.

A Psalm of David when he pretended madness before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise [shall] continually [be] in my mouth.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

"Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.

Blessed are you when men hate you, And when they exclude you, And revile [you,] and cast out your name as evil, For the Son of Man's sake.

Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward [is] great in heaven, For in like manner their fathers did to the prophets.

And not only [that,] but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;

rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;

[We are] hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; [we are] perplexed, but not in despair;

persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed --

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward [man] is being renewed day by day.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory,

as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and [yet] possessing all things.

Yes, and if I am being poured out [as a drink offering] on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all.

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

And [whatever] you do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Rejoice always,

in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,

whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see [Him,] yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,

If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed [are you,] for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.

But many of the priests and Levites and heads of the fathers' [houses,] old men who had seen the first temple, wept with a loud voice when the foundation of this temple was laid before their eyes. Yet many shouted aloud for joy,

so that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people, for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the sound was heard afar off.

I have become as a wonder to many, But You [are] my strong refuge.

'Hear, O Joshua, the high priest, You and your companions who sit before you, For they are a wondrous sign; For behold, I am bringing forth My Servant the BRANCH.
