Then they said to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?"

Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent."

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.

for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for [His] good pleasure.

To this [end] I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father,

Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again,

"but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."

When goods increase, They increase who eat them; So what profit have the owners Except to see [them] with their eyes?

There is a severe evil [which] I have seen under the sun: Riches kept for their owner to his hurt.

As he came from his mother's womb, naked shall he return, To go as he came; And he shall take nothing from his labor Which he may carry away in his hand.

All the labor of man [is] for his mouth, And yet the soul is not satisfied.

Why do you spend money for [what is] not bread, And your wages for [what] does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat [what is] good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance.

Behold, [is it] not of the LORD of hosts That the peoples labor to feed the fire, And nations weary themselves in vain?

" Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;

"Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me."

"But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her."

Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body [is] not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

But this I say, brethren, the time [is] short, so that from now on even those who have wives should be as though they had none,

and those who use this world as not misusing [it.] For the form of this world is passing away.

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain [it.]

Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as [one who] beats the air.

while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen [are] temporary, but the things which are not seen [are] eternal.

which all concern things which perish with the using -- according to the commandments and doctrines of men?

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.

lest there [be] any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.

For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.

because "All flesh [is] as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away,

Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,

Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

"And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day."

"I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world."

"Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

"This is the bread which came down from heaven -- not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever."

But Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

"but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."

Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts.

"And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

"And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

"as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him.

So that you incline your ear to wisdom, [And] apply your heart to understanding;

If you seek her as silver, And search for her as [for] hidden treasures;

For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth [come] knowledge and understanding;

For the wages of sin [is] death, but the gift of God [is] eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

"I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, 'Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.'

"And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God."

"But I have a greater witness than John's; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish -- the very works that I do -- bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me.

"And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form.

"I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me."

"If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;

"but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father [is] in Me, and I in Him."

"And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said [this,] that they may believe that You sent Me."

"If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father.

"I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, 'You [are] My Son, Today I have begotten You.

Then I said, "Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book [it is] written of me.

There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.

His delight [is] in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;

"Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One [in whom] My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

"The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to [those who are] bound;

To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified."

And suddenly a voice [came] from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!"

Then a voice came from heaven, "You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!"

And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, "You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased."

"The Spirit of the LORD [is] upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to [the] poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to [the] captives And recovery of sight to [the] blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

Then He closed the book, and gave [it] back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him.

And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!"

" Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know --

"how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
