Then, the same day at evening, being the first [day] of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, "Peace [be] with you."

And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, "Peace to you!"

Now on the first [day] of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight.

On the first [day] of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come.

I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet,

Now after the Sabbath, as the first [day] of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.

His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.

But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.

"And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you."

And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, "Rejoice!" So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him.

Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary [the mother] of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him.

Very early in the morning, on the first [day] of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.

Now when [He] rose early on the first [day] of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons.

Now on the first [day] of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain [other women] with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared.

Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.

Then, as they were afraid and bowed [their] faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead?

"saying, 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.' "

Then they returned from the tomb and told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest.

and laid it in his new tomb which he had hewn out of the rock; and he rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb, and departed.

"Therefore command that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night and steal Him [away,] and say to the people, 'He has risen from the dead.' So the last deception will be worse than the first."

So they went and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone and setting the guard.

And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it.

Then he bought fine linen, took Him down, and wrapped Him in the linen. And he laid Him in a tomb which had been hewn out of the rock, and rolled a stone against the door of the tomb.

And they said among themselves, "Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?"

But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away -- for it was very large.
