"And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

And when they had mocked Him, they took the robe off Him, put His [own] clothes on Him, and led Him away to be crucified.

And when they had come to a place called Golgotha, that is to say, Place of a Skull,

When He had called the people to [Himself,] with His disciples also, He said to them, "Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me."

Then they compelled a certain man, Simon a Cyrenian, the father of Alexander and Rufus, as he was coming out of the country and passing by, to bear His cross.

And they brought Him to the place Golgotha, which is translated, Place of a Skull.

Then He said to [them] all, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

"And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.

Now as they led Him away, they laid hold of a certain man, Simon a Cyrenian, who was coming from the country, and on him they laid the cross that he might bear [it] after Jesus.

And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left.

"Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, confess over it all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, concerning all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, and shall send [it] away into the wilderness by the hand of a suitable man.

"The goat shall bear on itself all their iniquities to an uninhabited land; and he shall release the goat in the wilderness.

"Take outside the camp him who has cursed; then let all who heard [him] lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man must surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp."

So, as the LORD commanded Moses, all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died.

And two men, scoundrels, came in and sat before him; and the scoundrels witnessed against him, against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, "Naboth has blasphemed God and the king!" Then they took him outside the city and stoned him with stones, so that he died.

And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left.

and they cast [him] out of the city and stoned [him.] And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul.

For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp.

Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach.

And when they had come to a place called Golgotha, that is to say, Place of a Skull,

they gave Him sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But when He had tasted [it,] He would not drink.
