and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,

"These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and [that] your joy may be full.

And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.
