So it was, from that time on, [that] half of my servants worked at construction, while the other half held the spears, the shields, the bows, and [wore] armor; and the leaders [were] behind all the house of Judah.

Then I warned them, and said to them, "Why do you spend the night around the wall? If you do [so] again, I will lay hands on you!" From that time on they came no [more] on the Sabbath.

Blessed be the name of the LORD From this time forth and forevermore!

From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.

And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor from that day on did anyone dare question Him anymore.

Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, "What shall we do? For this Man works many signs.

The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD and against His Anointed, [saying,]

For I hear the slander of many; Fear [is] on every side; While they take counsel together against me, They scheme to take away my life.

For my enemies speak against me; And those who lie in wait for my life take counsel together,

Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.

When they heard [this,] they were furious and plotted to kill them.

Now after many days were past, the Jews plotted to kill him.

But the chief priests plotted to put Lazarus to death also,

In return for my love they are my accusers, But I [give myself to] prayer.

Thus they have rewarded me evil for good, And hatred for my love.

Therefore the princes said to the king, "Please, let this man be put to death, for thus he weakens the hands of the men of war who remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, by speaking such words to them. For this man does not seek the welfare of this people, but their harm."

Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, "If I declare [it] to you, will you not surely put me to death? And if I give you advice, you will not listen to me."

Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the council sought false testimony against Jesus to put Him to death,

After two days it was the Passover and [the Feast] of Unleavened Bread. And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take Him by trickery and put [Him] to death.
