"Carry neither money bag, knapsack, nor sandals; and greet no one along the road.

"And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it; if not, it will return to you.

"Whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you.

"But whatever city you enter, and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,

"But I say to you that it will be more tolerable in that Day for Sodom than for that city.

Then He said to His disciples, "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on.

And He said to them, "When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?" So they said, "Nothing."

Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.

"Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts,

"nor bag for [your] journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food.

He commanded them to take nothing for the journey except a staff -- no bag, no bread, no copper in [their] money belts --

but to wear sandals, and not to put on two tunics.

No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of [this] life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.

He answered and said to them, "He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise."

Then Levi gave Him a great feast in his own house. And there were a great number of tax collectors and others who sat down with them.

"If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more [will He clothe] you, O [you] of little faith?
