A Song of Ascents. I will lift up my eyes to the hills -- From whence comes my help?

My help [comes] from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.

Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes.

Then, looking up to heaven, He sighed, and said to him, "Ephphatha," that is, "Be opened."

And He took bread, gave thanks and broke [it,] and gave [it] to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me."

Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke [it,] and gave it to them.

And He took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks, broke [them] and gave [them] to His disciples; and the disciples [gave] to the multitude.

And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed [them] to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted.

however, other boats came from Tiberias, near the place where they ate bread after the Lord had given thanks --

And when he had said these things, he took bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of them all; and when he had broken [it] he began to eat.

He who observes the day, observes [it] to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe [it.] He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks.

But if I partake with thanks, why am I evil spoken of for [the food] over which I give thanks?

and when He had given thanks, He broke [it] and said, "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me."

For every creature of God [is] good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving;

for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
