When He came into the house, He permitted no one to go in except Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the girl.

And they ridiculed Him. But when He had put them all outside, He took the father and the mother of the child, and those [who were] with Him, and entered where the child was lying.

"not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day [that] I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD.

But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.

So He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her. And she served them.

Then He took the child by the hand, and said to her, "Talitha, cumi," which is translated, "Little girl, I say to you, arise."

So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything.

But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose.

Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried [him] stood still. And He said, "Young man, I say to you, arise."

So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother.

"For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to [them,] even so the Son gives life to whom He will.

"Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice

"and come forth -- those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.

Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth!"

But Peter put them all out, and knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, "Tabitha, arise." And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.

(as it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations") in the presence of Him whom he believed -- God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;
