Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder [was] set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

So Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him.

When Jacob saw them, he said, "This [is] God's camp." And he called the name of that place Mahanaim.

Then [Micaiah] said, "Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by, on His right hand and on His left.

When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy?

The chariots of God [are] twenty thousand, [Even] thousands of thousands; The Lord is among them [as in] Sinai, in the Holy [Place.]

Bless the LORD, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word.

Bless the LORD, all [you] His hosts, [You] ministers of His, who do His pleasure.

Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts!

Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.

And one cried to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy [is] the LORD of hosts; The whole earth [is] full of His glory!"

Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me a great thunderous voice: "Blessed [is] the glory of the LORD from His place!"

A fiery stream issued And came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, And the books were opened.

"Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."

to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly [places,]

Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven -- things which angels desire to look into.

Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,
