Then they all forsook Him and fled.

Now as Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came.

But he denied it, saying, "I neither know nor understand what you are saying." And he went out on the porch, and a rooster crowed.

But he denied it again. And a little later those who stood by said to Peter again, "Surely you are [one] of them; for you are a Galilean, and your speech shows [it."]

A second time [the] rooster crowed. Then Peter called to mind the word that Jesus had said to him, "Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times." And when he thought about it, he wept.

"And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you."

so that, on the contrary, you [ought] rather to forgive and comfort [him,] lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow.

"But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee."

"But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee."

Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go [and] tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me."

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them.

When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.

After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed [Himself:]

"He was seen for many days by those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are His witnesses to the people.

and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.
