When the morning dawned, the angels urged Lot to hurry, saying, "Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the punishment of the city."

So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, "Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed."

So Satan answered the LORD and said, "Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life.

Give no sleep to your eyes, Nor slumber to your eyelids.

Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand [of the hunter,] And like a bird from the hand of the fowler.

A prudent [man] foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished.

"then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

"And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.

"In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods [are] in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back.

"Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.

And because we were exceedingly tempest-tossed, the next [day] they lightened the ship.

On the third [day] we threw the ship's tackle overboard with our own hands.

So when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship and threw out the wheat into the sea.

But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.

Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ

By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
