And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched [it] out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.

But when He had turned around and looked at His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, "Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."

And when His disciples James and John saw [this,] they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?"

"For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save [them."] And they went to another village.

"Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath,

"And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.

"This [is] My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised;

"He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, every male child in your generations, he who is born in your house or bought with money from any foreigner who is not your descendant.

"And the uncircumcised male child, who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant."

'But your little ones, whom you said would be victims, I will bring in, and they shall know the land which you have despised.

"And because He loved your fathers, therefore He chose their descendants after them; and He brought you out of Egypt with His Presence, with His mighty power,

"your little ones and your wives -- also the stranger who [is] in your camp, from the one who cuts your wood to the one who draws your water --

"that you may enter into covenant with the LORD your God, and into His oath, which the LORD your God makes with you today,

Then she made a vow and said, "O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head."

But Hannah did not go up, for she said to her husband, "[Not] until the child is weaned; then I will take him, that he may appear before the LORD and remain there forever."

"For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me my petition which I asked of Him.

"Therefore I also have lent him to the LORD; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the LORD." So they worshiped the LORD there.

We will not hide [them] from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.

May the LORD give you increase more and more, You and your children.

[May] you [be] blessed by the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.

They shall not labor in vain, Nor bring forth children for trouble; For they [shall be] the descendants of the blessed of the LORD, And their offspring with them.

'then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them.

'And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me.

Then they also brought infants to Him that He might touch them; but when the disciples saw [it,] they rebuked them.

But Jesus called them to [Him] and said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.

"For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."

"You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, 'And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.'

For if the firstfruit [is] holy, the lump [is] also [holy;] and if the root [is] holy, so [are] the branches.

Concerning the gospel [they are] enemies for your sake, but concerning the election [they are] beloved for the sake of the fathers.

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.

when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.

and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

A Song of Ascents. Of David. LORD, my heart is not haughty, Nor my eyes lofty. Neither do I concern myself with great matters, Nor with things too profound for me.

Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, Like a weaned child with his mother; Like a weaned child [is] my soul within me.

"Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

" Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature.

as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,

And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God.
