When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, "Son of David, have mercy on us!"

Then He touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith let it be to you."

But when they had departed, they spread the news about Him in all that country.

Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.

Then [the] blind and [the] lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.

The LORD opens [the eyes of] the blind; The LORD raises those who are bowed down; The LORD loves the righteous.

In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness.

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert.

I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, And not forsake them.

" Hear, you deaf; And look, you blind, that you may see.

We grope for the wall like the blind, And we grope as if [we had] no eyes; We stumble at noonday as at twilight; [We are] as dead [men] in desolate places.

"The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to [those who are] bound;

To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,

Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging.

"The Spirit of the LORD [is] upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to [the] poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to [the] captives And recovery of sight to [the] blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

And that very hour He cured many of infirmities, afflictions, and evil spirits; and to many blind He gave sight.

Now as [Jesus] passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth.

Jesus answered, "Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.

"As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."

And He said to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam" (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.

Some said, "This is he." Others [said,] "He is like him." He said, "I am [he."]

He answered and said, "A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, 'Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.' So I went and washed, and I received sight."

And all the multitudes were amazed and said, "Could this be the Son of David?"

And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed."

Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: "Hosanna to the Son of David! 'Blessed [is] He who comes in the name of the LORD!' Hosanna in the highest!"

saying, "What do you think about the Christ? Whose Son is He?" They said to Him, "[The Son] of David."

"Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,

concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh,

[and] declared [to be] the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.
